Dr. Green has been practicing family medicine in Northeast Florida since 1991. He has merged his practice with Dr. Mark Messinese, the well known Internal Medicine physician and lifelong beaches resident, at their offices on 16th Street South on the campus of Baptist Beaches hospital in Jacksonville Beach.
Howard J. Green D.O. is a board certified family physician. He provides the full spectrum of family practice services; preventative and wellness healthcare, treatment of acute illness and injury, management of chronic and complex medical conditions, routine gynecologic care, and many other services.
As an Osteopathic physician, Dr. Green provides Osteopathic Manipulative therapy. This is a treatment where Dr. Green, after performing a thorough history and physical exam, evaluates the patient's musculoskeletal, nervous system and posture to determine areas of dysfunction and restriction. He then employs gentle spinal manipulation to treat theses areas of dysfunction and restriction. This type of treatment is very effective in treating acute and chronic neck and back pain, athletic and hobby related injuries and "overuse syndromes", chronic headaches and many other conditions. In addition Osteopathic Manipulative therapy promotes the body's immune system and ability to heal itself and maintain wellness.
